Graduated from Springfield High School, Springfield, Delaware County, PA in 1955
BS in Health_Physical Education from Lock Haven State College, Lock Haven, PA
MEd in Secondary Mathematics from University of Delaware, Newark, Delaware
Upon graduation from Lock Haven, Art took a job at The Training School, in
Vineland, New Jersey. There he was in charge of education, cottage life,
.etc. of the children on the farm. Art was drafted six months later and
elected to join the Nation Guard. Once off active duty, he took a position
as Athletic Director at Ferris School, for Boys, in Wilmington, Delaware.
He was recruited by the Wilmington School District to teach Health and Physical
education at Lore Elementary School. From there he transfered to Wilmington
High School where he taught mathematics and computer science.
After marrying
Betty Lou Jeuell, he took a job at Newark High School, Newark, Delaware
teaching mathematics and computer science. He ended his teaching career in
Delaware at Christina High School, in Newark, Delaware after 30 years of teaching.
During those years Art was Head Wrestling coach at Wilmington High school for
4 years; Head Wrestling coach at Newark High school for 16 years; coached
football, baseball, basketball and track at different times.
Upon retirement, he took a part time position as instructor at Goldey Beacom
College and Cecil Community College.
He is currently teaching Computer/Electronic Technology at Cecil County School of Technology,
North East, Maryland.
Lived at Hawarden Rd, Springfield, PA until age 12. Moved with family to
Parham Rd., Springfield, PA. After graduation from college, moved back
with parents in Newark, Delaware. Upon getting married
to Betty Lou Jeuell, he and Betty Lou purchased a house in Newark, Delaware.
In 1988 he and his wife built a house in Landenberg, PA.
